Gladly recommend this Doggy Hotel. They took care of and trained my pug for 2 weeks, and she was returned to me happy, healthy and clearly excited. Cannot thank you guys enough for taking care of her.
I could not recommend this place enough!!! All of the staff are extremely kind, friendly, patient and loving of animals, and they go above and beyond to make sure all pets are comfortable and happy there. My german shepherd was initially very nervous around people and I struggled leaving her behind when I had to travel, until I came to Hanrob. They were mindful of her needs and gently formed a bond that has lasted for years now, and she loves spending time there. The staff also helped me introduce her to my partner's dog, and now they are best friends too! If you need reassurance that your pet will receive lots of love and great care during your trip, this is it. Thank you so much to everyone at Hanrob Brisbane for all you do for Bubbles, you have my eternal gratitude!
My dog stayed at Hanrob for Xmas last year. Whilst away we got an email stating there is an outbreak of "Canine cough" we weren't worried as he had his own room. Turns out he picked up this up at the facility, our vet said its not something that can be argued even though the staff at Hanrob were dismissive of symptoms we observed when picking him up. I will never use this place again. There are plenty more options available on outskirts of Brisbane that are more animal friendly.
I must express my disappointment with the overall service during my dog’s stay in early December. Despite the seemingly pleasant stay documented in the report card, my dog returned home with a persistent cough that was not mentioned in any report. So I have to bring him to the vet immediately. Luckily, he’s recovered after having medicines and rests.
Additionally, he lost 2kg during his time there (in just one week), which was quite alarming. However, it was interesting that they couldn’t explain why this happened even after requesting investigation. This was another sign that I felt when I picked my dog up that they did not really show the care and attention I expected to.
Also, as a poodle’s parent, I understand it could be difficult for them to take same level of care as myself for his hair. But in only one week, my dog was returned with very dry and fizzy hair. I strongly doubt that didn’t dry his hair completely after washing.
While there might be “positive”aspects to Hanrob. As my flight was delayed, my dog was allowed to extend his stay for another night, at cost of $64. I picked him up the next morning around 11:20am, and I was told he hadn’t had breakfast yet (they didn’t even mention this until I asked). Another one was I got a claim of $100 for the vet bill after sending a complaining email…
I hope this could be a constructive feedback for other parents’ reference.
Ranger our GSD & family fur baby stayed in the luxury suite after roughly two weeks, we were getting calls that Ranger was not well. He was loosing weight & appeared he was not well, then a cough. We got our son to pick him up & take home to care for him until we got home. My son stated Ranger is not well & not himself; we cut our trip short to get home to Ranger. He went from healthy GSD to skinny & so unwell with coughing, dribbling & smacking his gums. It appears he has kennel cough. It is breaking our hearts & we need to wait until our Vet sees him. I would think twice leaving your pet here. We are devastated how sick Ranger is. He wasn’t bathed as promised or cared for as it appears. Please don’t leave your pet here if you love him/her. His also licking furiously at his paws. The photos you see how happy & healthy he was: the 2nd photo is how sick he is right now.
Great caring staff, honest and upfront attitudes, with a very professional twist
Highly recommend for your fur baby.. my Freddie loves the place and all his favourite staff members
Absolutely disgraceful service I booked in two of my pets for a stay over Christmas and paid my deposit. The next week I received a phone call saying there is no longer space available for my pets. They did offer a refund of my deposit however I am now stuck with unrefundable plane tickets and hotel accommodation that I cannot use.
I'd give negative stars if I could, we booked a month in advance with clear instruction that our cat has cat flu and is senior (14) and we have a vet cert for all vaccinations etc. "Yep all good" Sweet we pay the $1000 up front because fantastic!
Month passes; the day before we are away for 3 weeks (internationally)
"No we can't take cat flu sorry byyyyyyyeeee"
You couldn't have told us that? You know BEFORE HAND?
..... apparently not, so now we have to find a place short notice, thanks for that 👍
